Fitness and Experience
- Cycling is not as arduous as you might think
- People of all ages can rekindle the freedom of their youth by getting “back on the bike” - see our Family Fun Half day tour as a great starting point.
- Seniors with a reasonable level of fitness can comfortably manage our tours
- Pamper-me Tours provide a support vehicle to pick up any cyclist who is struggling
- Remember, you can have a warm up ride or a refresher skills course, if needed
Seasons
- Spring and Autumn are absolutely fabulous times for cycling in Mudgee
- Winter is cool - but cycling conditions are usually very pleasant with the right clothing
- Summer is generally hot in inland Australia
- We close our point to point tours for 8 weeks between mid December and mid February
- Mudgee based tours are available most of the year except Christmas week
- If you do choose mid summer, be prepared to do your cycling in the early morning...it is just magical!
Clothing
- Bright coloured tops
- Shorts, tights or 3/4 length pants
- Padded Lycra might not be fashionable but it sure feels great
- Layers for warmth
- Wet weather jacket
What to Bring
- Bike helmet if you have one - guaranteed perfect fit
- Cycling gloves if you have them - not essential
- Sun glasses
- UV protection sun screen
- Insect repellent
- Torch
- Binoculars, camera, journal, sketch book & similar
